Yatra.com Introduces “Clean Pass” for Safe Travel Services


Clean pass aims to provide a safe and sanitized environment in hotels, taxis and buses.

Yatra.com presents ‘Clean Pass’, a company initiative to ensure that security measures are adopted by its partner hotels, taxi and bus service providers. It is a promise made by the company to its customers to travel safely through all touch points during their journey.

The “Clean Pass” for hotels includes several security measures such as disinfection of rooms and common areas, staff to wear masks and gloves, the Aarogya Setu app, regular temperature checks, disinfection of rooms. rooms in front of the customer when checking in and the host of other benefits. For taxis and bus service providers, the “Clean Pass” guarantees that drivers wear masks and have the Aarogya Setu app, daily monitoring of the driver’s temperature control, of the vehicle disinfected after each travel, a disinfectant to be placed in the vehicle, the driver to maintain no physical contact with the passenger, the arrangement of the seats is made keeping in mind social distancing.

Commenting on this initiative Dhruv Shringi, Co-Founder and CEO, Yatra.com noted, “As the world battles the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that travel safety is the most important concern for any individual and for the industry to rebound, earning the trust of customers will be essential. With this in mind, we have introduced the “Clean Pass” initiative to our partner hotels, taxi and bus service providers in India. Whenever the customer sees the ‘Clean Pass’ badge on our website, they will be assured that the highest safety and disinfection measures are in place and that they can proceed with the reservation without any hassle.

There are around 11,120 hotels so far that have been registered with ‘Clean Pass’, including hotels such as ITC Fortune Hotels, Royal Orchid Hotels, Radisson Goa, Ramada Plaza Chennai, among others. The company has introduced the set of controls mentioned below as part of its “Clean Pass” initiative.

Clean Pass for hotels:

* Body temperature monitoring of hotel staff and guests at hotel entry points. Entry refused if temperature is above 99.1 (F) degrees Fahrenheit.

* Rooms will have an alcohol-based hand sanitizer and face mask for guest use.

* Disinfection of rooms made in front of customers during check-in.

* Hotel staff have the Aarogya Setu app available.

* Each staff member wears face masks and gloves at all hours of service.

* Hotel rooms / floors and public areas are cleaned with hospital grade disinfectants.

* The hotel offers in-room dining options with minimal contact service and disposable / sanitized crockery and cutlery.

* The hotel staff take care to maintain a social distance at all times.

* Each client’s travel records are kept in accordance with local and central Indian government guidelines.

* While working with the supplier and the hotel the contractor complies with health notices and government guidelines.

Clean Pass for taxis:

* Daily monitoring of driver temperature.

* The driver must wear a face mask, gloves and use a disinfectant.

* Have the Aarogya setu app.

* Disinfection of the car for each trip.

* No pick & drop service in the containment area.

* AC only in fresh air mode, if necessary.

* Maintain zero physical contact.

* The only asymptomatic driver to be on duty.

Own pass for the bus:

* Hand sanitizers available on all buses.

* Seating arrangement made with social distance.

* Mask and gloves compulsory for drivers and assistants.

* Regular temperature checks for drivers and assistants.

* The Aarogya Setu app is installed for drivers and assistants.

* All buses should be disinfected after each trip with hospital grade disinfectants.

* The only asymptomatic driver to be on duty.
