Visit Tampa Bay has expanded its learning program on Travel Agent Academy. New language capabilities have been added to include more access and opportunities for non-native English speakers, adding options in Spanish and German.
Visit Tampa Bay has also added multicultural tourism, LGBTQ+ and accessibility modules.
“Since the beginning of the year, we have welcomed our international travelers in great numbers,” said Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay. “Expanding the Travel Agent Academy allows us to continue to teach more agents how to market Tampa Bay as Florida’s premier destination to reach larger groups of visitors.”
Some of Tampa Bay’s fastest growing markets are in Latin America and the German-speaking regions of Central Europe. These new features give travel advisors and tour operators access to tools and training to help customers create the best experiences possible in Tampa Bay.
Visit Tampa Bay’s Travel Agent Academy program is proven to work with travel counselors and tour operators. Over 3,800 travel agents and tour operators have enrolled in the program and over 50% of registrants have completed the program and graduated.
