​Looking for a travel agent trainer (min 1 year experience in a travel agency)

The Travel Agent Next Door is a host travel agency dedicated to supporting and providing business building tools to help travel agents succeed in their business. Travel agent Next Door is now hiring a travel agent trainer for their downtown Toronto headquarters near Union Station. This position requires an energetic individual who has exceptional writing, customer service, and travel agency operations skills, as well as an ability to multi-task.

This person will conduct training via zoom on all products offered by The Travel Agent Next Door, including ClientLinq and business formation. They will help coordinate vendor webinars and be responsible for the training newsletter. They will also help facilitate/train The Travel Agent Next Door programs as needed.

Determine the needs of our travel agents in order to contribute to the growth of their business through training
Create and revise training materials, including step-by-step instructions, videos, etc.
Work/coordinate with our preferred and approved vendors to ensure understanding of their products
Animation of training sessions via zoom.
Provide excellent customer service and support to our agents
Prioritize, organize and track training issues until agents have a full understanding of the material covered.
Reports on training initiatives
Drafting of our travel agent’s newsletter which is sent to agents
Internal update of our Extranet (called The HUB)
Research on training developments

Qualifications: * Must have excellent presentation skills.

Superior written and oral communication skills (grammar and spelling are very important)
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with agents, vendors and head office personnel
Experience in producing training materials
Ability to think “outside the box” when the situation calls for it.
Excellent problem solving skills
Willingness to travel (conference, regional meetings, etc.)
Team spirit and good attitude!
Travel and tourism degree or other travel-related experience
Excellent knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Excel and MS Office.

Currently staff are in the office 1 day per week and will eventually be 2 days per week and possibly 3 days per week. Proof of vaccination will be required.
