Next door travel agent’s new hires include Annabelle Seow as chief marketing officer


Annabelle Seow has joined The Travel Agent Next Door as Director of Marketing. Seow previously worked for Merit Travel and Travel Cuts. The host agency also announced three new hires to its support staff team.

TTAND founder Flemming Friisdahl said the company is preparing for a surge as the travel industry recovers.


“I’m sure I’m like a lot of people who have recognized that we have to learn to live with COVID and all the new variants. The good news is that we are learning to live with it and we are seeing consumers start to travel in large numbers,” says Friisdahl.

“March sales were the best in company history and we couldn’t be happier for our agent partners. But more importantly, March was the highest commission payout ever. history of the company and this is great news for agents,” added Friisdahl.

“With this in mind, we are very pleased to announce that Annabelle Seow has joined TTAND as Chief Marketing Officer, bringing years of travel and marketing experience to the team.”

TTAND adds new support staff

Travel agent Next Door has also added three new support staff, including two based in Alberta.

“As TTAND continues to innovate, I am also pleased to announce that we have added two new support staff located in Alberta to even better serve our partner agents located in Western Canada,” said Friisdahl.

Pamela Shaw joins The Travel Agent Next Door support team based in Alberta.

Pamela Shaw has worked in the industry for 15 years as a travel consultant in Edmonton and Red Deer. Alberta. Most recently, she was an associate agent for TTAND, but during the pandemic, she took a step back. Friisdahl says Shaw is thrilled to be back in the travel world full-time and expanding her travel expertise from a support perspective.

Rebecca Mueller, TTAND
Rebecca Mueller has joined The Travel Agent Next Door Support Team in the role of Senior Agent Support.

Rebecca Mueller has joined TTAND in a senior agent support role. She completed MacEwan University’s travel program in Edmonton in 2013 and worked as a travel agent with Flight Center in the Edmonton area, leaving during the pandemic.

Alaina Salita, the travel agent next door
Alaina Salita joined TTAND as Travel Agent Coordinator.

Joining TTAND as Travel Agent Coordinator, Alaina Salita is new to the travel industry but brings a strong background in project management. She will be responsible for the integration of new travel agent partners. She previously worked for Nikoleta & Associates where she managed the student onboarding program.

“We are very pleased that Pamela and Rebecca have joined TTAND and they will be a great addition to the agent support team. And we welcome Alaina to the role of Travel Agent Coordinator, supporting the onboarding of new partner agents at TTAND,” Friisdahl said.
