Emma McHugh of Atlantic Travel in Letterkenny was elected as a board member of the Irish Travel Agents Association at their annual general meeting at Dublin’s Buswells Hotel on Thursday.
Speaking at the AGM, Paul Hackett said: “The travel industry is a strong, resilient professional group comprised primarily of family and private businesses in every county across the state and it is a privilege to work alongside the Board of Directors and members of the Association. ”
“We survived the pandemic and enjoy doing what we do best and what our customers want, which is planning and arranging business and leisure travel. My advice to consumers planning their trip is to book with a member of the Irish Travel Agents Association where you are assured of excellent service, advice and total value and security.
Pat Dawson, ITAA CEO, said: “Over the past few years the travel industry and our member travel agents have faced many challenges due to Covid-19 and have shown incredible resilience. I am thrilled that we can finally meet again, in person, at this year’s AGM. After 10 years of working with the ITAA, I am proud of the work we have done and will continue to do to improve and support the travel industry.
