First Community Bank’s Adventure First Travel Club has released an ambitious calendar of monthly events through the end of 2022, highlighted by a European river cruise next spring and an excursion next fall in the Colorado Rockies, featuring national parks, landmarks, and historic trains. .
“We invite everyone to rediscover the joy of traveling with us, while continuing to do everything possible to ensure the health and safety of our customers,” said Dale Cole, President and CEO of First Community Bank. “This Travel Club program offers the opportunity to enjoy concerts, plays, museums and exhibitions, and to re-experience the natural beauty of our state, our nation and the world beyond.”
The first event is a preview at 5:30 p.m. today for a spring cruise on the Tulip River through Holland and Belgium next April. The preview will take place at the First Community Bank Downtown Community Hall at 301 E. Main Street, Batesville.
Customers and guests of the Bank are also invited to participate in a dozen other regional activities, including:
November 10 – Lunch and visit to Marlsgate Plantation, Scott, Ark. – Step into the living history and legacy that began in 1850 with Marlsgate Plantation.
December 16 – Celtic Angels Christmas – University of Central Arkansas, Conway – Experience the magic of Christmas in an awe-inspiring spectacle of seasonal and Irish favorites.
January 25, 2022 – Designing Women – Arkansas Repertory Theater – From the creators of the hit television series comes a world-first comedy in a live stage performance.
February 15 – Hamilton – Robinson Performance Hall – Experience the legendary story of America’s Founding Fathers with a score of hip-hop, jazz and R&B.
March 13 – A Tribute to the Queen of Soul – Arkansas Symphony Orchestra – A rock program celebrating Aretha Franklin’s career!
April 17-25 – Spring river cruise in the Netherlands and Belgium – Savor spring in Europe with a cruise through fields of blooming tulips, iconic windmills and picturesque landscapes.
May 7 – Cirque de la Symphonie – Arkansas Symphony Orchestra – Little Rock – The magic of the circus choreographed to contemporary classical and popular music.
June 14-15 – Mount Magazine and Subiaco Abbey Tour – Admire the majesty of Arkansas highest point and also visit Subiaco Abbey, founded in 1878.
July 20-21 – Bentonville and Crystal Bridges Museum – Explore the post-Civil War era Peel Mansion, and the famous Crystal Bridges and Frank Lloyd Wright home.
August 16 – Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Education Center – Visit the converted writing studio in a barn in Piggott where Ernest Hemingway wrote parts of “A Farewell to Arms”.
September 17-25 – Colorado Rockies with National Parks and Historic Trains – Celebrate the Wild West in the Rockies, at several national parks and on historic trains.
October 15 – Johnny Cash Heritage Festival – Dyess, Ark. – This popular annual event will return to live entertainment in 2022 in the small town of Mississippi County.
November 10 – Arkansas Museum of Art and Women’s Voices, Women’s Votes, Women’s Rights Exhibit – Little Rock.
December 4 – Christmas in Arkansas – Visit the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion and Old State House, both decorated to their best for the Christmas season.
